Man on a Mission: Richard Garriott's Road to the Starsĭisclosure: a review copy of this game was provided to me by the publisher.Luna's Wandering Stars by Serenity Forge on IndieSider. What a big Kickstarter success looked like - before Double Fine came along.Hayden Waugh's interview with Lifeless Planet’s David Board. In this episode, I speak with David Board of developer Stage 2 Studios about the game's evolution from its Kickstarter in 2011 to its PS4 release in 2016 the updated graphics engine how movies such as The Martian, Gravity, and Interstellar have affected public perception of space exploration manned vs. How did they get here, and what happened to the lush planet NASA had detected? Not interested in tossing my money at someone who wants to prove their game design is right.Lifeless Planet is a narrative puzzle-platformer for Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. As primarily a one man team I know I have to be. Im trying to deliver something different from what you usually get from the big studios and publishers. Its the culmination of years of learning, experimentation, and ambition. Its the expression of my passion for creating media that inspires. Additionally not going to support this game designer for any other work. Lifeless Planet is more than just a video game. Actually going to delete it and never see the end even though I am curious. I like others who have run through this (even after looking at walkthroughs) just don't want to keep trying the same stupid can you hit a button then jump on a moving platform fast enough. The designer obviously thought it funny to have a run jump timed (crane mission) that is just infuriating. Well, I would have to say that I finally about halfway actually gave up on this one. So here is this cool, rather pretty games of mostly just hopping over things and following a story. I am familiar with run jump-type games and although not my favorite I respect them for what they are.
